| Does it makes the car happy to give it more gas? The gas station is a wierd place. You pull up at 10:45pm and there are no cars around besides the person working. You side up to the pump and you turn off the engine. I look down to see the pump number, the I get out of the car. You walk into bright blinding lights, and a strange echo that you notice when you slam the car door shut. I am still in my CompUSA uniform, and I forgot to take off my name badge, but thats ok, there is only one guy, and he has a name badge too ;]. You walk in, no line, "How's it going", "Good", "10 on pump #7". Then I fish through my pocket for the crumpled $10 amongst the $1s and $5s. Then you walk out and fill up the car in the bright lights. When your done the pump beeps, letting you know you should go inside for your receipt. I dont think anyone does, inless they are driving for a company. You get back in and the echo is there when you shut your car door. The whole lot is still empty, and the highway still empty. When you start your car this time, it seems to start faster, and has a different pur to it. But if it already had gas why should it make a difference that you filled it up all the way. It even seemed to accelerate faster.
On the way home last night, another Ford and mine had a race. He was doing 75 on the 35 backroad I take home. I wanted to be right behind him so I did the same. Then he ended up turning off and I only had myself to race home.
Last night, while it was me and just Dave the frontend manager. There was this wave of people that came in. And if you looked out in the store from my frontend, there really wasnt anyone, but the people were coming from nowhere and standing in my line. We had this rush that lasted for 45min and after I had this huge head ache. And then I had to stay till 10:40 putting crap back because #1 either people feel it is my job to put there shit back if they dont want it, or #2 they are too stupid to read the requirements of the hardware, and they returned it. Since I already was staying after, I helped my Assitant Manger put up signs since the "sale" ended, we put up a few good deals on a poster thing. I have a lot of managers. One left, they all moved up, and then we get a new one for the one position. What a chain.
Those are the words I was supposed to write last night, but I was too tired.
